5 Superstars who shouldn't return to the WWE
The Hardy Boyz, D-Generation X and CM PunkWWE might be on the very top of the wrestling business, but there are a number of superstars that they have wasted with deplorable booking – John Morrison. Shelton Benjamin, Chris Masters – the list goes on. Fans do hope that many of such superstars return to the ring. Rumours were abuzz with Kurt Angle making a return to the WWE last year, but they have been squashed for now. While there are many wrestlers whom we wish were back in the WWE, there are many wrestlers – for one reason or other – should not return to the WWE.This list takes a look at five of them.
#1 CM Punk
CM Punk is still a huge draw – the WWE fans still chant his name at arenas throughout the United States, so it wouldn’t seem to be a bad idea to bring him back. But it shouldn’t happen. Not that the fans wouldn’t be happy to see him – but it would be contradictory to the very principles of Punk that attracted him a huge fan base in the first place.
Punk left the WWE because he was unhappy with the direction of the product, the health checkups and a lot more burning issues. He even received his termination letter on the day of his wedding – which, irrespective of whatever Vince McMahon says, is too much of a coincidence to give the WWE the benefit of the doubt for.
Punk has been openly critical of the WWE and for him to eat his words and come back to the company would just place himself in the category of a sellout – something which would definitely make Punk lose respect in front of his fans.
