5 things that WWE are doing wrong with their divas division
Don’t get me wrong, the diva’s division has a lot of potential with talent like AJ Lee, Paige, Natalya, Naomi and even more new young performers down in NXT waiting for a call up such as Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Bayley. But for some reason, WWE aren’t capitalising on this potential and are instead destroying their own division. This becomes even more obvious when their developmental program, NXT clearly are capitalising on opportunities and their women’s division is thriving. Let’s take a look now at five things that WWE are doing wrong with their own diva’s division.
#1 Short matches
If WWE continually choose to book their women in ridiculously short 2 minute matches, it’s impossible for fans to become invested in the action. This doesn’t give them anywhere near enough time to prove that they can actually put on an entertaining match.
The lack of time given to the females tells the audience that WWE officials place a severe lack of importance on their diva’s division, which is not the message they should be trying to send.
Not to mention, the constant use of the rollup finish that has become far too overused.
When they are given time, they excel and produce top quality bouts. One just has to look at the NXT women’s division to see that when given more time they can create interesting and enthralling match ups.
