6 WWE Superstars who kicked out of the F5

The biggest F5 of Lesnar’s careerBrock Lesnar is arguably WWE’s biggest asset and has been booked to be made to look like the nastiest beast there is, a relentless monster who does nothing but destroy. It wouldn’t seem surprising then, that very few people have kicked out of his finishing manoeuvre, the F5.The F5 itself is devastating. Imagine being taken up to Lesnar’s height, spun like a helicopter’s blade in mid-air while being brought down to the ground, just to land on your face. That is bad. It’s like an Attitude Adjustment, except, it’s worse for the receiver in every way. There have been a few that have kicked out, though, and this article looks at five of them, in chronological order.

#1 Kurt Angle - WrestleMania XIX

To begin this article, let’s look at arguably Lesnar’s biggest night in WWE.

WrestleMania XIX’s main event featured the WWE Championship match between Kurt Angle and the Royal Rumble winner of that year, Brock Lesnar.

What everyone remembers this match for, ironically, is a monumental botch. Brock Lesnar was on the top rope, with Kurt Angle way across the ring, and he attemped to deliver a Shooting Star Press. While he executed most of it, he landed short of Angle and almost paralysed himself. Although he did win the WWE Championship that night, what stood out was that one moment of terror.

What many also overlook, however, is that it was one of the first times anyone kicked out of the F5. Although following the second time he delivered the F5 in the match, Lesnar did not pin Angle but did what was mentioned above, the first time, he did attempt to pin him, and Angle kicked out. It was a shock at the time, nobody had really done so before.
