The list though quite detailed and long, has many shocking omissions. The Dutch gloveman holds the record for most caps by a Netherlands player. Van Der Sar was a part of the Dutch team that went to the semi-finals in Euro 2004. He also has a very illustrious club career, and is the amongst a rare few who have won the Champions League with two different clubs (Ajax in 1995 and Manchester United in 2008). In the 2008–09 EPL season with Manchester United, he set the world league clean sheet record by not conceding a single goal for 1,311 minutes.
