2015 ICC World Cup: India v Zimbabwe - Stats of the match

India continued their impressive run in this year's World Cup as they notched up their 6th straight win of the tournament. With that, India has now won all the matches in their group and have extended their unbeaten run in World Cups to 10. Zimbabwe batted first and put up a total of 287 on the board with Brendan Taylor scoring a century in his farewell match for the African nation. India's chase began in a wobbly fashion as they lost both their openers cheaply. Kohli steadied the ship for a while, but he too got out after making 38. But Captain Dhoni stitched up an unbeaten 196 run partnership with Suresh Raina, as the duo took India to victory with 8 balls to spare. Here are the most important stats that we came across during the course of the match:

#1 Dhoni - 1st person to score 3000 runs between overs 41 to 50

MS Dhoni during the course of his unbeaten knock of 85, became the first batsman to score more than 3000 runs between overs 41 to 50 in the last decade. Before the match, Dhoni had amassed 2961 runs in-between those overs, and now he has increased his tally to 3046.

Retired Australian batsman Michael Hussey is the next name on that list.
