5 teams having a completely different look compared to the previous World T20
The ICC World T20 2016 has gotten underway. The last edition of the T20 World Cup happened in 2014 and in these two years, some sides have almost changed their entire T20I lineups. Some legends have retired, some players have lost their place in the squad and some were not picked due to their dismal T20I record. Sri Lanka the defending champions have seen legends like Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara fading away as they called it a day on their illustrious careers. Let us have a look at the five teams who have a completely different look compared to the previous World T20:
#5 Sri Lanka - 5 changes
The defending champions Sri Lanka are going through a transition phase as some of their key players have retired and some of the members went out of contention. So they have a new look to their side this time around in the ICC T20 World Cup 2016.
Barring a few, most of the players have just burst onto the international scene and are relatively inexperienced in the international arena. Sri Lanka have problems aplenty in terms of their team’s recent form. They have struggled to get their team composition right and it’s going to hurt them in the World Cup too.
If we compare their side to that the one that won the last edition of the T20 World Cup, we can see that the side has gone through a lot of transformation
