Game of Thrones: If the Premier League was played in Westeros

In the Westeros Premier League, you either win or you lose three pointsGame of Thrones fever was at its peak in May and June and it would be a shame if it does not touch the world’s most popular football league – the English Premier League. Ever wondered what it would be like if Premier League clubs were prominent houses of Westeros?Which house would each club represent from the Seven Kingdoms? Which players and managers resemble the characters in George R R Martin’s series the best? Here is a list which tries to draw some parallels between Game of Thrones and the EPL. 

#1 Manchester United - The Lannisters

The resemblance between the Lannisters and Manchester United goes beyond the red colour they share. After Tywin Lannister (Sir Alex Feguson) left, the house (club) has been in a bit of disarray. 

The big money transfer failures of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao makes Ed Woodward look more like Cersei Lannister. Having said that, they do have a vast amount of wealth at Casterly Rock (Old Trafford) with them which can be of great help in forming alliances (buying players).

In Jamie Lannister (Wayne Rooney), they have one of the best fighters in Westeros. It now remains to be seen if Kevan Lannister (Louis van Gaal) can bring this club back to its glory days.
