Southampton might not be one of the most famous club in Europe or England, nor is it the most supported of the clubs. But It boasts one of the finest youth academies in the world beating the likes of almost all the biggest clubs in the world. It has churned out fine talents like Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlainand recent heroes like Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw.Southampton will always be known for the importance it gives for its youth. Iwan Gwyn Thomas is a sprinter who represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Olympic Games in the 400m and Wales at the Commonwealth Games.

He lives in Southamption and in 2010 he became an ambassador for The Saints Foundation, the charity set up by Southampton FC.
