Football transfer rumours for August 28, 2015
While most of the clubs in Europe have completed their summer transfer activities, there are still a few clubs trying to sign the players they need before deadline day.In the Premier League, while most of the clubs have put away their checkbooks for the summer, a few clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are still on the look-out for the final player to complete their squad. Manchester City, on the other hand, have already spent €125.8 million this summer on attaining players like Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Otamendi, and Fabian Delph, but their final tally could be well above €200-million with Kevin De Bruyne on his way.While La Liga giants Barcelona can’t make any transfers this season due to their ban, Real Madrid who is under the management of Rafael Benitez have completed most of their purchases, they have been offloading their surplus player in recent days. While Illaramendi has been sold to Real Sociedad, Portuguese left-back Fabio Coentrao has been sent to Monaco on a loan deal.In the Serie A a few clubs are still active, amongst whom are both the clubs from Milan, AC Milan and Inter Milan who are still looking for players to help them return to the peak of Serie A. #1 Premier League
- Manchester City are closing in on Kevin De Bruyne’s deal and it is expected to be done in the next few days. Although De Bruyne is not too keen on leaving Wolfsburg, the Belgian has no qualms of going back to the Premier League and joining the Citizens.
- De Bruyne was the Bundesliga player of the season last year and is expected to cost City £54-million. If the Belgian moves back to England the Manchester City squad they see Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, and Kevin De Bruyne up front, with David Silva and Yaya Toure backing them up.
- While Chelsea are still after Everton’s John Stones, The Merseysiders have stated that they won’t allow the centre back to leave Goodison Park.
- Arsenal who have signed Petr Cech this season, are still looking to buy Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema. Although the Frenchman sent out a message on social media a few days back, showing his loyalty to Los Blancos Wenger will still be hoping the striker will come to the Emirates.
- Liverpool, on the other hand, have made most of their buys and are looking to send players like Fabio Borini and Lucas Leiva ought. Surprisingly though the team are also considering sending recently signed player Lazar Markovich on a season-long loan to Fenerbahce.
- Manchester United though have not been able to sign any big name players this season, and are still looking at Barcelona star Neymar, and recently rumours of Van Gaal’s interest in Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben have also surfaced.
- The Red Devils are also said to be interested in Felipe Anderson and have placed a bid on the player.
