#5 Leonardo Mayer - Shanghai Masters 2014
This should have been a routine win for Roger Federer as he faced the Argentinian Leonardo Mayer in the first round of the Shanghai Masters. But, Federer was taken all the way, and in fact saved 5 match points against Mayer before eventually winning the match.
Mayer had an amazing opportunity to finish the match in his favour with a backhand but fired his shot straight at the net when on match point. Federer ended up taking the match. Mayer broke down immediately as he came to shake hands with Federer at the end of the match. It was truly a heartbreaking moment.
