NXT's top prospects outside of the 'NXT 5'

It’s very easy to oversee the remaining members of NXT’s roster, considering how high-profile the signings of Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami & Finn Balor were. Before the ink could dry, all three were being touted as the future of the WWE—despite never actually competing in the WWE, let alone NXT. They posed with Triple H—how proud was he?—They threw up the Wolfpac signs, as signs of loyalty to The COO, and they all got new suits in the process. Throw into the mix former NXT Champion, Adrian Neville and NXT’s new people’s champion, Sami Zayn. And you’ve got The NXT Five. Today, I count down the equally hard working individuals that are destined for success regardless, NXT’s other top prospects.

#5 Bayley.

What we often see in women's wrestling is a lot of the same-same. Most notably it's a combination of Heel traits and characteristics most commonly associated with the likes of Lay-Cool or The Beautiful People, then once in a while someone breaks from the norm and it gives rise to diva like AJ Lee or Paige.

Bayley is not only one hell of a worker, but one hell of a developing character. Something largely forgotten on the women's division. And much like Lee & Paige, Bayley is character in every sense of the word.

Excitable, energetic and passionate, yet Bayley's underdog story means fans are invested. Her trials and tribulations and her failed bid to capture the NXT Women's Championship has captured the hearts of the NXT Universe, and have left many heartbroken in her defeat.

Bayley is the AJ Lee of tomorrow, and much like Lee & Paige, Bayley is a new type of diva for a new generation.
