The year 2014 has seen several memorable performances in Test cricket. The year started off with Australia completing an emphatic 5-0 whitewash of England at Sydney, and it will be rounded off by the Aussies taking on India in the Boxing Day Test at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).Apart from that memorable series win for the Australians, there have been some other very good wins for other teams across the globe.Most of these wins have been achieved courtesy of some excellent performances by the bowlers of the respective sides.Here's a look at the best five bowlers in 2014:

#5 Ryan Harris

Ryan Harris has picked up 20 wickets in the 5 Tests that he has played in 2014 so far at an average of 24.15. He started off the year on a great note, picking up a 8-wicket match haul in the New Year’s Test against England at Sydney.

He subsequently took 10 wickets in the three-match Test series against South Africa, including a 7-wicket haul in the third and final Test at Cape Town which helped Australia beat the Proteas 2-1.

He featured in the first Test against India at Adelaide and picked up 2 wickets in the match, but was ruled out of the second Test at Brisbane. He will be looking to get himself fit for the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, which will be Australia’s final Test of the year, so that he can finish the year on a high.
