Top 5 ultimate babyfaces in WWE history
CaptionMany WWE Superstars are known as either a heel or babyface. Some play both roles well while others are good at one specific one. It has been amazing to see how some never turn while others turn every other weekend.People like Kane and Big Show might turn every few months yet someone like Kofi Kingston only now has turned in his WWE career. So really, it comes down to what works best and what sells. WWE and other companies realize that heel and babyfaces are needed to tell a really good story most of the time. While heels seem to have more fun, it is the good guy that gets the win at the end of the rivalry on a normal basis. On top of this, kids love them and more money is made through the good guy. We decided to count down the top five ultimate good guys in WWE history. While some did spend some time as heels, their career will always be known for their role as a good guy.
#1 Jeff Hardy
No one in the history of WWE has ever been more over than Jeff Hardy after continuously screwing up. Hardy was always a fan favorite who seemed to get massive ovations every single place he went.
Sadly, Hardy’s entire career has always been linked to drugs. He has been suspended and fined by WWE due to this. He even left at a few points in his career because it seemed he was more into using than being clean, which he knew he couldn’t do in WWE.
He would go on to TNA where he was known to have used. One of the most infamous was at Victory Road a number of years ago where he was in the main event against Sting for the TNA World Title. Jeff was messed up bad and the match ended very quick.
Despite this, fans have still loved him. No one truly seems to know why a man like Hardy continues to get the support of the fans, but the fact is that it seems nothing he can do will ever get people to really hate him.
In WWE, he never truly worked as a heel. At one point, there was an attempt but it simply didn’t work and the program ended abruptly. His brother Matt Hardy has played the bad guy role well, but Jeff never really could.
TNA turned him for a period of time, and it worked for the most part. However, Hardy’s mic skills always lacked behind. So he never was truly able to get fans to hate him. After the Immortal story ended, Hardy turned face and TNA hasn’t tried to turn him since. WWE never wanted to do so, because they knew Hardy was always going to be loved. That said, he may always be seen as an ultimate babyface.
