#1 Chris Evert Vs Martina Navratilova (1978)
Being the two best players in womens tennis for most of the 1970s and 1980s, Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert had a huge fan following. In fact, they were so big that they met in close to 60 finals in their career but the 1978 Wimbledon final was an epic thriller. Evert was playing offensive but could not get the better of Navratilova when she ended up winning the title 2-6, 6-4, 7-5. Eventually, Navratilova went on to win 9 singles titles spanning over 3 decades.
