Is Erik Lamela on his way to the Serie A?

AC Milan could consider bringing back Kevin-Prince Boateng to San Siro in January, but he will have to take a wage cut if he leaves FC Schalke. The German international is currently training with Milan after being told by his club that he no longer has a future with the Bundesliga outfit, as per ESPN.

Boateng was dropped from the squad, along with Sidney Sam in May due to disciplinary reasons. Schalke’s director of sports Horst Heldt has given him the permission to train with the Serie A outfit, but he has stated that a deal of rejoining his former club may not be possible in January as he is contracted with the club until the end of the season.

“He's obviously really desperate [to join Milan], but it's a complicated situation because he's contracted to Schalke until the end of the season, which is why he might remain there, bearing also in mind the fact that the contract he has is financially lucrative,” Heldt said.

Reports from Italian media outlets suggest Rossoneri's rivals Inter Milan are following up their interest in Tottenham duo Erik Lamela and Jan Vertonghen, according to Sky Sports. It is thought Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was keeping tabs on Lamela and Vertonghen during  Spurs’ Europa League tie against Anderlecht.

Real Madrid forward Jese could be on his way out of Santiago Bernabeu in January due to a lack of first-team opportunities, as per Sky Sports. The Real Madrid winger’s situation has alerted Liverpool and Arsenal but the two Premier League sides have a face a stiff competition in the race to seal the 22-year-old’s signature from Napoli. It appears Napoli have emerged as front-runners for Jese after having him scouted during Los Blancos’ 1-0 win over the French champions on Tuesday night.
