#1 Not supposed to face Rousey

Miesha Tate was promised a title bout with Ronda Rousey. It would have been the third match between these two fierce rivals, but it never happened.

It was soon announced that Holly Holm is the new contender to Rousey’s crown. Some speculated the reason behind Tate’s omission being that Holm Vs Rousey is more of a money feud while others speculated that Dana White thought that if Tate lost again to Rousey, that would signal the end of Tate’s career.
