Who will replace Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32?
Will he walk down the ramp in his vintage jersey at WrestleMania 32?It’s hard to think about The Undertaker playing the role of heel in his hometown of Dallas at WrestleMania 32, but that is what Vince McMahon wants. And as we all know, what Vince wants, Vince gets.An even more shocking twist to this sudden decision by the Chairman of the Board is that the Phenom will be facing Shane McMahon with control of Monday Night Raw on the line. Can someone say mismatch and “no chance” that McMahon is standing across from ‘Taker when the two are supposed to get in the ring in a “Hell in a Cell” match on April 3?While we were all still griping about WWE Fastlane from the night before, Monday night certainly allowed us to forgive the company for a piss-poor performance of a pay-per-view with a gritty, over-the-top show that left us with our tongues hanging out for the first 23 minutes of the program. That’s how long the opening segment took, the one where Shane’s entrance left us all giddy like little school children. If there is indeed a power struggle between the McMahons, which is always best for business, then this type of hype and the weeks heading to WrestleMania should be must-see television. And in the grand scheme of things, this has put the match between Triple H and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Title on the backburner, with there being a thought by some that it might be the least anticipated match of the night.Does Shane McMahon get in the ring with Undertaker? I doubt it. I also don’t see the Dead Man lying down for McMahon. So there has to be a proxy for McMahon in this case. There are only three logical choices for this match. Here are the candidates.
#5 Kane
While the match won’t be the hyped super show fans might want to see, this one has some merit to it.
What better way to beat Undertaker or attempt to wrestle control of the company away from Vinnie Mac than to have Kane face his brother in Dallas?
The final chapter of this saga must still be written. There is so much history between these two. Could it be a swan song for both wrestlers – the two most tenured performers in the company?
If Shane were to bring Kane out as his proxy and the Big Red Machine were to challenge his rival for the last time, in Hell in a Cell, it would certainly be worth the look. While it may not get the pop of other opponents, WWE would be doing the right thing to finally have closure with this angle.
