10 Biggest rumours of Wrestlemania 31
Some argue that this year’s WrestleMania is shaping up to be one of the most disappointing ever, but perhaps that has more to do with just how great last year’s effort was rather than the card itself. The end of The Undertaker’s Streak and Daniel Bryan finally getting his hands on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship are moments which are hard to top, but if these rumours are to be believed, don’t be so quick to write off this year’s WrestleMania. As with pretty much all the reports to hail from the dirt sheets, it’s best to take all of these rumours with a pinch of salt. However, some make more sense than others, whether it’s the big plans for the mid-card titles or who will end up holding the world title by night’s end.Either way, the build-up to this year’s WrestleMania really hasn’t been that exciting, something not helped by the fact that three of the superstars from the show’s main feuds – Brock Lesnar, Sting, and The Undertaker – have been mostly or entirely absent from TV.However, these rumours might just help you change your mind about what’s to come on the grandest stage of them all next Sunday. Be warned though that there could be what are considered major spoilers here. They’re all worth getting excited about either way.
#1 Daniel Bryan and John Cena will win big
Despite the fact that there are those who view Daniel Bryan’s inclusion in the ladder match for the Intercontinental title as a demotion of sorts for the man who wrestled two matches last year to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, there may be a method behind the WWE’s apparent madness. It’s been rumoured that both he and John Cena will win their respective mid-card titles at WrestleMania 31 in a bid to increase their importance.
This will only work if the WWE actually creates significant storylines which will result in matches for either the Intercontinental or United States Championship headlining Raw, SmackDown, and even PPVs. Bryan and Cena is a step in the right direction regardless, and Triple H is said to be the one pushing Vince McMahon to make both of the currently uninteresting titles feel as important and relevant as they did quite a few years ago.
