10 controversial moments in pro wrestling that were, thankfully, cancelled

Some are very popular with the fans, while others get buried for one or more reasons, and we are going to take a look into the latter in this piece. Over the years, there have been many utterly ludicrous ideas that were planned by the company, but were dropped by the WWE. Here is a look at those cringe-worthy angles that were dropped by the company for good.
#10 Batista\'s rape angle
Batista and Melina had a real-life fling back in 2006, and the WWE was more than eager to exploit this - to the extent that they suggested a rape angle for the Animal.
Melina was seen doing favours for Batista before his tag team match against MNM in an attempt to make Batista lose. However, Batista went on to defeat MNM, alongside Rey Mysterio, to become the tag team champions.
After the defeat, Melina planned to come out and accuse Batista of raping her, and the former World Heavyweight Champion would then acknowledge the same in a press conference. The angle, however, was cut short after Batista suffered an injury in a house show.
