3 reasons why the Wyatts haven't reached the next level
When the Wyatt family debuted on the main roster not too long ago, they were considered to be the hottest commodity in the WWE. With the Shield and the Wyatts going at each other’s throats, big things were planned and expected of the eerie group.Soon, the group became the most dominant force in the company, and Bray Wyatt was being groomed for a big push. However, couple of years later, the Wyatts are stuck in the same place, and Bray’s momentum has been completely halted. This past Sunday, WWE rolled out with the Hell in a Cell PPV, as Bray Wyatt took on Roman Reigns. Everything wrong about how WWE’s creative team has been booking the Wyatt family was highlighted during the PPV.In this article, we give you three reasons why the Wyatts, and especially Bray Wyatt haven’t been able to break the proverbial glass ceiling, although they possess all the potential in the world to do so.
#1 Inconsistent storylines
Last year, Bray Wyatt was considered to be the next big thing in the WWE. However, with the creative toying around with Wyatt’s opponents, it only hindered Wyatt’s growth in the organization. While Bray’s feud with Cena was seen as his opportunity to cement his claim as one of the top talent in the company, the way he was booked, along with the entire Wyatt family was questionable to say the least.
This year’s WrestleMania saw Bray taking on the Undertaker without much build up. While the Undertaker won that encounter, it took months for WWE to rekindle that feud, which happened during the HIAC PPV.
While WWE has been notorious for questioning the intelligence of the fans, and completely ignoring previous feuds, the fact that the creative team went back to Bray feuding with the Undertaker doesn’t make much sense, if at all.
If that wasn’t enough, WWE earlier split the Wyatts, to concentrate on Bray’s singles career. However, during this time, Erick and Harper fought each other, and then teamed up, and joined Bray Wyatt again without much explanation.
