We have witnessed legendary matches like Mankind Vs The Undertaker at King of The Ring 1998 which showcased why it’s so dangerous to be anywhere around a cell.We have classics like the Bad Blood match between HBK and Taker where kane debuted and recently Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins tried to reignite the flame that once surrounded the matches that took place inside a cage.In the PG Era, WWE created an entire PPV revolving around this structure which weren’t as bloody as its predecessors, but were still good enough and were overlooked in the larger scheme of things. Here are the 5 Most Underrated matches in Hell In A Cell history.
#5 Randy Orton Vs John Cena 2014
It’s really easy to overlook this match by hardcore fans at least for the very strong reason that this feud is oft-repeated and much hyped. Two of the most protected performers in the business just don’t have enough chemistry between them or rather they just never clicked with the right storyline.
Before the match began, one camera person took a shot of a fan sign that read “Enjoy Cena Vs Orton #121”. That was hilarious for the precise reason that WWE seems to be accepting what many fans were thinking or for the fact that maybe it was a mistake and that camera person was going to get fired.
Anyway, the interesting possibility was an Orton Vs Lesnar match which did not, of course, happen. But these two gave one of the best matches in their very forgettable, long- drawn rivalry. That wasn’t expected, but that remains a fact.
