#5 LIta
She is arguably one of the greatest female performers of all time. But there was a time when she was the simply the most popular woman in the WWE. Over time Trish Stratus improved her in-ring game to be named as the greatest female performer of all time by the WWE. But there has been no diva who has been as much loved a babyface and as much hated a heel as Lita.
Lita has had only one Wrestlemania match and that was a very good triple threat match against Jazz and Trish Stratus for the Women’s Championship. This match was overshadowed by the match that it followed. That overshadowing match was the classic between Hulk Hogan and The Rock at Wrestlemania 18.
The classic Ladder match for the tag titles at Wrestlemania 17 between The Hardyz, the Dudleyz and Edge & Christian wouldn’t have been complete without the interference of their respective comrades such as Lita, Spike Dudley and Rhyno. Lita being the only woman to fight, momentarily, in that match defined why she was considered to be the coolest and the most fearless woman around.
And then there is another classic match between Edge and Mick Foley. Who can forget the moment when Edge speared Foley into the table on fire? But what is important to note is Lita playing a pivotal part in leading the match into Edge’s palm.
