6 Realistic opponents for the Undertaker at WrestleMania 32
Who’ll join him on the biggest stage of them all? Here’s what happens when there isn’t an opponent picked to face Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.The speculation of his next opponent sends fans and the IFC into a frenzy.Daily Wrestling News writes that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE officials have finalized the WrestleMania 32 main events and they have decided on who The Undertaker will face but we don’t know who that person is. It was said that Taker’s opponent is not someone on the roster right now.So who can it be? The rumor mill has been running on all eight cylinders since the announcement was made, which all but eliminates such current stars as Kane, Sheamus, Kevin Owens and John Cena. Speculation has been a veteran may come back to the company as part of a “retirement” type match. Those rumors have not been confirmed as of yet.WWE officials had hoped it would be Cena who was across the ring from the Deadman, and that the shoulder that has surgery before the end of the year would have healed enough to tear the walls down in Dallas. That now appears highly unlikely.Who could the opponent be? Who could be the one to bring wrestling fans to their feet in the biggest event of the wrestling calendar? Here are a few names we all should consider.
#6 Shawn Michaels
I cannot get this one out of my head. I know Michaels has been retired and has not made any overtures about getting back in the ring, but this could be the golden nugget WWE needs to send ‘Taker off to retirement. Michaels retired Ric Flair and now has the chance to be in the last match of his rival’s career.
It makes for great theater.
Michaels is considered the greatest performer in WrestleMania history and what better way to showcase Dallas than to have the San Antonio native challenge Undertaker one more time in an epic battle? Fans would surely approve of this one.
