The one dominant criteria to be inducted into the Hall of Fame is that the inductee has to have retired i.e. ceased to perform as a full time employee.Hence, we won’t see them gracing our television screens for a match or Pay Per Views. The Hall Of Fame predominantly has legends who have surpassed the peak of their careers and don’t necessarily have one more match left in them. #5 Stone Cold Steve Austin

Yes, he is 50 years old. There have been murmurs about him returning for one more match. But those murmurs have died down after CM Punk left the company. Punk was the man who for years was the guy fans thought would be ideal for Stone Cold to return and begin a storyline. The ingredients were in place. Both of them have the anti-hero vibe, they’re polar opposites when it comes to the subject of alcohol and they’re both legends on the microphone.

Austin may have been rusty if he’d returned or if he ever returns but it seems he would still have got it. 

A great match could still be envisioned.
