WWE Night of Champions 2014 : 5 Superstars that would shine at the pay-per-view
If the fans were to rate WWE’s buildup to SummerSlam, it wouldn’t have scored a higher value compared to how the Show turned out. However, just after two weeks into their buildup to Night of Champions, WWE is pulling all the right chords to make it a memorable pay-per-view.The match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar would be taking the centre stage for this one as well. The duo has been getting some strong booking from the writers while it has earned a fair share of mainstream attention due to the star power. No other match has been officially added to the pay-per-view but a showdown for the United States title and the Tag Team title is expected to be in the mix soon. Before the match card gets its completion, here is a look at some of the Superstars who could come out on top at Night of Champions.
#5 Brock Lesnar
Lesnar’s in ring ability was up for debate when he was revealed as the main eventer for SummerSlam. He was tagged as a part timer who got some over protective booking from the writers but Lesnar managed to silence his critics.
It was a ruthless beating that he gave Cena at the Staples Center and was simply his best match of the year which included a WrestleMania streak ending ceremony.
The next stop that Lesnar would make is Night of Champions. Unlike the previous pay-per-views, he will be going in as the champion. When this would be pressure for some, Lesnar would only thrive under such circumstances.
No matter if he loses or wins, Lesnar will go out there and teach Cena another lesson on how to suplex one’s opponent.
