WWE Smackdown 29th January 2014- 5 promising developments
This was the show that was supposed to be Monday Night Raw before the blizzard led to a change of plans. Surely, Smackdown and Raw’s plans had to have been fused to get to this. The one treat was that in a rare instance, Smackdown was live and that meant live reactions and no reactions meshed in to give a different perspective and form a different narrative altogether. Orton and Ambrose weren’t really a part of the show. Yet, here are the five promising developmensts from this weeks’ Live Smackdown
#5 Rusev and Cena face off
Even though Ryback and Rusev’s feud ended prematurely, it was still a promising feud which had some good moments. Now, Rusev has moved on to face a bigger fish in the sea. John Cena is surely his next opponent. And just like the feud with Ryback, Cena Vs Rusev isn’t about an American facing a Russian but it is about the disregard shown by the new superstar to the biggest superstar in the WWE.
This is the biggest challenge Rusev has had in his very promising career on the main roster so far. Hope this doesn’t turn out the way Wyatt-Cena turned out.
