WWE Smackdown: 5 Promising Developments - December 16, 2014

Smackdown was live for a change. And it showed in plenty of ways why its two-hour format is much more focussed and hence better than the three-hour extravaganza that is Raw. It featured the company’s youngest stars in action via their promo skills or wrestling.It was a simple yet significant affair as the shorter format helped develop many feuds in a crisp fashion. The only thing that holds Smackdown back is the pre-recorded format, but this live program helped it immensely.Here are the five promising developments from last night’s Super Smackdown.

#5 A new feud brewing

Jimmy Uso isn’t a happy man as Miz is playing mind games with his opponent in the tag team picture by giving Naomi, Uso’s wife, many opportunities. One of those opportunities this week involved Naomi getting a shot at the Divas Championship but the fight that ensued between Jimmy Uso and Miz led Naomi to get distracted and hence she lost the match.

That isn’t going to sit well with Naomi. It furthers the tag team feud.
