Best NBA Player Props for Tonight: Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal and Ben Simmons
While the 2022-2023 NBA season tipped off last night, only four teams were on the schedule.
Twenty-four additional teams will have their season opener tonight. Take a look at three player propers from the new NBA season's first full slate:
NBA Player Prop #1: Damian Lillard over 23.5 Points (-130)
Damian Lillard missed a significant amount of time last season for the first time in his career.
The Portland Trail Blazers wound up missing the playoffs for the first time since Lillard's rookie season. Despite Lillard averaging his lowest scoring total in seven years, he still scored 24 points per game. Over his last five healthy seasons, Lillard has averaged 27.6 points per game.
With CJ McCollum no longer on the roster, Lillard will likely be expected to pick up an even bigger load on offense. Facing the Sacramento Kings, who allowed the second-most points per game in the NBA last season, should allow Lillard to score at least 24 points.

NBA Player Prop #2: Bradley Beal over 22.5 Points
Bradley Beal finds himself in a situation nearly identical to Lillard's as his season kicks off. Beal faced an injury-riddled 2021-22 season but averaged 23.2 points per game. Beal, like Lillard, is on a roster that struggled to score points without him last season.
Beal's Washington Wizards will face the Indiana Pacers, who allowed the fifth-most points per game last season. Look for Beal to get into his groove against a team that isn't expected to be competitive this time.

NBA Player Prop #3: Ben Simmons over 23.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists
Ben Simmons has become one of the most underrated and underappreciated players in the NBA due to his inability to shoot jump shots. Beyond that, though, Simmons does nearly everything else at a high level.
He averages 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists per game. While Simmons' fit with star big man Joel Embiid was questionable at best, his fit should be seamless alongside new star teammates Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
The skepticism surrounding Simmons is understandable after he missed the entire 2021-22 season. His prowess in finishing at the rim, rebounding, and playmaking make this a very hard prop to pass up.
