Indianapolis Colts vs. Minnesota Vikings Match Details
Fixture: Indianapolis Colts @ Minnesota Vikings
Date & Time: Saturday, December 17, 1:00 p.m. EDT
Venue: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
NFL Player Prop #1: Jonathan Taylor Under 19.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Jonathan Taylor is one of the more talented running backs around, but as a pass-catcher, he usually doesn't contribute much. He might catch some checkdowns here and there, but he averages just 13 receiving yards on 2.7 receptions per game. Taylor has also gone over 19 receiving yards in just three of his ten games this season and just once in his past five. QB Matt Ryan has other options to target ahead of Taylor, and the Colts' running back receives a lot of carries anyway, which limits his ability in the passing game. Expect Taylor to stay under this prop on Saturday on the road, as he gets most of his touches and yards from the backfield.
NFL Player Prop #2: Dalvin Cook Under 2.5 Receptions (+118)
Dalvin Cook has racked up a lot of yards on the ground this year, but when it comes to receptions, he hasn't done much, especially recently. He's caught over two passes in just two of his last 11 games, and he doesn't get targeted much, either. He's only been targeted more than three times in just three of his previous 11 games, and that should be the case again today. Not only do Justin Jefferson and the Vikings' other receivers get most of Kirk Cousins' passes, but the fact that Minnesota could be up for most of the second half means they'll likely elect to run the ball a lot more. Expect Cook to stay under three catches on Saturday, as he hasn't been a receiving threat for most of the season.
