Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals Key Stats
The Chiefs have arguably the best offense in the NFL, and the numbers back this up. QB Patrick Mahomes leads the NFL in passing yards (3,585) and passing TDs (29). Impressively, he's only thrown eight interceptions, which was been a minor issue for the Texas Tech product last year. Mahomes is also the NFL MVP favorite, and his main targets, Travis Kelce and Juju Smith-Schuster make his life a lot easier. The run game is typically an afterthought for Kansas City, but running back Isaiah Pacheco has been excellent in recent weeks, and he'll look to keep that going against an average Bengals run defense.
Cincinnati's star QB Joe Burrow is enjoying another solid season, and he currently ranks third in passing yards and TDs. Running back Joe Mixon is one of the better players at his position, but he is listed as questionable, and he's trending toward sitting out. This is a huge blow if he is forced to miss today's contest, but this means that Cincy will look to pass the ball more. Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase make for one of the best receiving corps in the league, so expect them to see a lot of targets today. Chase is expected to return today after four missed games, which is a nice boost for the hosts. KC's defense is pretty average all around, but last week they did hold the Rams to just 10 points, so we'll see if they can build off that performance.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals Betting Prediction
The Chiefs are 9-2, and they hold the #1 seed in the AFC, but they're just 3-7-1 against the spread. The Bengals, on the other hand, are 8-3 ATS, but with the Chiefs favored by just 2.5 points, it's hard to pick against one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Back the visitors here to come into Cincinnati and end the Bengals' winning streak.
Prediction: Chiefs -2.5 (-115)
