Detroit Pistons vs. New Orleans Pelicans Prediction: Injury Report, Starting 5s, Betting Odds, and Spreads- December 7 | 2022-23 NBA Regular Season
The spiraling Detroit Pistons travel to The Big Easy to take on the first-place New Orleans Pelicans.
This match-up would have been more attractive had Cade Cunningham been active. Unfortunately, we got bad news on the Pistons' injury front (see below). The Pelicans are playing well, and the team is beginning to gel. Zion Williamson makes all the difference for the Pelicans. Williamson's physicality and the addition of CJ McCollum make the New Orleans Pelicans a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference.

Detroit Pistons vs. New Orleans Pelicans Injury Report
The injury news of the week for the Detroit Pistons wasn't a new injury, but it was the latest insight into Cade Cunningham's injury. Cunningham has been out for three weeks with a shin injury, and the intel is not good. Cunningham may require surgery that would put the second-year PG on the shelf for an indefinite amount of time. Isaiah Livers remains out with a shoulder injury.
Brandon Ingram will miss this contest with a lingering toe injury. The Pelicans will miss Ingram's offense. Herbert Jones will also miss this contest with an ankle injury.

Detroit Pistons vs. New Orleans Pelicans Starting 5s

Detroit Pistons vs. New Orleans Pelicans Betting Prediction
The Detroit Pistons are beginning to fold up their tent for the 2022 season. With Cade Cunningham on the shelf for the foreseeable future, the Pistons continue to rebuild for the future.
The New Orleans Pelicans will miss Brandon Ingram in this one. New Orleans has enough firepower and depth to sustain the injury to their dynamic wingman. I'm not sure how the Pistons will limit CJ McCollum from getting in the paint at will, nor do I see how the Pistons can stop the dynamic duo in the interior of Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas.
The Pelicans should pull away in this one with relative ease. Take New Orleans and give the points.
