Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction: Injury Report, Starting 5s, Betting Odds & Spreads - November 20 | 2022-23 NBA Season

The Miami Heat take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday (November 20) at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in NBA Regular Season action.

The Cavaliers are currently 9-6 as they sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings while the Heat are 7-9 placed 11th in the standings. The Cavs are coming off an important win against the Hornets which ended their torrid five-game losing streak. The Heat, on the other hand, slumped against the Wizards by one point, extending their losing streak to two in a row. The betting odds and predictions are given below:

The Heat side have massively underperformed this season. They have struggled with constant injuries this season and, in turn, haven't had the squad stability to get consistent results. Both Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler were unavailable against the Wizards, which they lost. When Bam and Jimmy are on the court, naturally the Heat are a better team. This month alone, Butler and Adebayo have gone 5-2 when they start.

Adebayo has arguably been a better player for Miami this season, averaging 19 points and nine rebounds per game. His defensive contributions have also been pivotal for the side, averaging nearly a block and a steal per game.

The Cavaliers have been very solid this season. They are statistically the third-best team in the NBA this season. They currently have a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense, scoring 115.9 points per game and allowing only 110.1 points per game. They are not attempting as many three-pointers as they should, but they are the second-most prolific three-point scoring team in the entire NBA.

It's been their backcourt of dreams that has carried the Cavaliers to success this season. The combination of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland has wreaked havoc on opposition defenses all season long. Both have been terrific this season, as Mitchell averages 31 points a night, while Garland is averaging nearly eight assists per game.

Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Prediction

The Cavaliers should easily win this one, seeing that the Miami Heat are not at full strength. Arguably their two best players, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, are both out for this game, which will force the Miami side to field a second-string lineup. The Cavaliers have only lost one of their six home games this season and should once again look imperious in Ohio.
