Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles, NFL (+250)

Jalen Hurts has been solidifying his case as the Philadelphia Eagles are a perfect 8-0 to begin the year. This season, he has thrown for 2,042 yards with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions, as well as running for six touchdowns. His numbers are not impressive, but the story is very big and that's what makes him a good bet. Bettors should wait for a little bit of a drop when he lands in the +300 range before grabbing him because he does not have the numbers to compare to the rest of his competition.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs, NFL (+275)

Don't look now, but the Kansas City Chiefs are tied for the best record in the AFC once more with a 6-2 record and a large part of that is due to the play of Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs already had their bye week and he is leading the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns. Andy Reid will continue allowing him to make dominant throws down the field and that will help his numbers. Get Mahomes now before the odds continue to improve.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills, NFL (+300)

Right now, the Buffalo Bills hold the top seed in the AFC due to their head-to-head win over the Kansas City Chiefs and Josh Allen has solid stats to back up his potential MVP case. He has had a couple of bad games this season, but overall his numbers are solid as he is completing 64.1 percent of his passes for 2,403 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He is also being evaluated for a UCL injury in his throwing elbow as well as nerve issues; be cautious with this wager as it can backfire if he is unable to play. However, he is fourth in passing yards, second in passing touchdowns, and third in QBR.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens, NFL (+1200)

Coming into the season, Lamar Jackson was a favorite for the award as he is in a contract year. However, he is outside of the top three in terms of odds. He has been doing well with his arm and legs as he has 15 passing touchdowns to six interceptions while also running the ball for a pair of touchdowns. He has 553 rushing yards and 1,635 passing yards and could be a longshot if the Baltimore Ravens continue to improve in the second half of the season as they are one of the best teams in the sport.
