Phoenix Suns vs. Houston Rockets Prediction: Injury Report, Starting 5s, Betting Odds & Spreads - December 13 | 2022-23 NBA Season

The Phoenix Suns (16-11) are coming into tonight's game off the back of a dispiriting four-game losing skid. Their opponents, the Houston Rockets (8-18), have had a poor season thus far but most recently scored a huge upset win over the surging Milwaukee Bucks.

The Suns enjoyed a relatively dominant start to the season but inconsistency has crept in in more recent weeks. They're now struggling where, at the start of the season, they looked like one of the strongest teams in the league. The Rockets, meanwhile, have had a poor run from the get-go with a three-game losing skid to start and a 1-9 record overall in their first 10 games. Needless to say, both teams desperately need a win tonight.

Suns vs. Rockets Prediction

The Rockets are finally starting to find some semblance of a groove but they're still struggling to string wins together. The Bucks victory suggests they're not completely done just yet and they've won five of their last nine games. Interestingly, one of the teams they've defeated in that time is none other than the Suns in a razor-close 122-121 showdown.

The Suns, meanwhile, have been hit-and-miss this season with both winning streaks and losing skids on their record. At their best, the Suns have looked like a well-oiled machine this season with crisp offense and slick defense. They should be motivated to get back on track and get some revenge on the Rockets. That being said, key player Devin Booker is out tonight and the team is clearly faltering of late. The Rockets pulling off another miracle upset might just occur here.

Prediction: Rockets +6.5 (-114)
