Chelsea in pursuit of Napoli duo?
According to reports in the media, Chelsea are ready to bolster their attack by lining up a mammoth £70m move for Napoli duo, Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik.
As always, Chelsea’s Russian owner Roman Abramovich is ready to make this this huge offer and new manager Rafa Benitez and technical director Michael Emanelo have discussed about the possibility of making an agreement which will bring the top form stars to Stamford Bridge this transfer season.
The deal would be inevitable for the Blues with the Roberto Di Matteo being sacked and the new interim manager not having had a favourable start so far. The out-of-form poacher Fernando Torres‘ recent games may have also influenced the move. However, the target may not be so simple as the Diego Maradona’s former club is in second place in Seria A table.
Meanwhile Chelsea is not following Cavani for the first time, they have been interested in him since last year. But this time, a £70m (€86m) offer will be hard for Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis to resist.
