Indian Squad For Champions Trophy-A Possible Prediction.
Indian Team is all set to play the last edition of Champions trophy in England.
Lets have a look upon the possible Indian team for most matches off the CT, that will ideally suit the playing conditions in England.
- MS Dhoni :- The most experienced player in the current Indian team line-up, has his work cut-out of guiding the young Indian team to the road of victory. He must carry his form from the recently concluded IPL into the CT. As it is certain that in most of the matches he will be the one who will guide the team to victory.
- Suresh Raina :- The second most experienced player in the Indian team line-up is certain to feature in almost all the matches that India will play in the CT. He will have to continue his role of a great finisher, and overcome his disability to tackle the short-pitched balls which is certain to come in plenty to him.
- Virat Kohli :- The prominent Indian No.3 batsman, and one of the best player in the world cricket at this point of time. He will have to carry his outstanding form from the IPL into the CT, because many a times he will find himself facing the 2nd ball of the innings. He must use his aggressive nature to good use, which might add glories to his batting.
- Shikhar Dhawan :- The new Indian opening sensation, has already stamped his authority in the International cricket with a blistering knock in his debut test innings against the Aussies. But that happened in India, now he has to repeat the same on the tracks of England and give India the same kind of starts that Viru has given over the years.
- Dinesh Kartik :- With Vijay running out of form, he might become the second opener together with Dhawan. He has to carry his form from the first half of the IPL, where he was hitting boundaries with ease. Well, his form saw a dip in the later half of the IPL, lets hope it was just a temporary dip. As he has serious role to play for the team.
- Rohit Sharma :- The other Indian middle-order batsman, who was in a brilliant form in the IPL this season. He has not justified his capabilities in the International scene up till now. Well this CT, he will look to remove the tag of being an IPL Batsman, and will look to justify his selection in the Indian team, and will look to answer his critics in style.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar :- The new bowling sensation of Indian cricket team, having the capability to swing the new ball both ways, will definitely enjoy bowling on the swinging tracks of England. His role would be to provide India with early breakthroughs.
- Ishant Kumar :- His performance in the recently concluded IPL was more of a mixed bag performance. While in some matches he bowled brilliantly, while in others his performance was not upto the mark. Well, he might find a place in the Indian team, for the condition in England will help the bowler of his skill. But, he will have to bowl really well, as Vinay Kumar and Umesh Yadav are not the one who will enjoy warming the bench.
- Irfan Pathan :- His major role in Indian team will be more of a bowling all-rounder. He has the capability of hitting some long boundaries and also swinging the bowl into the right handers and away from the left handers. He might form a deadly combo with Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
- Ravi Ashwin :- The off-spinner’s major challenge will be to bowl his off-spinners and to take wickets contain runs on England track. He can also prove his worth with his batting as he has been involved in some crucial partnerships in the past.
- Amit Mishra :- This leggie has been in brilliant form in the recently concluded IPL. He has tremendous ability to contain runs and also take some crucial wickets. He will look to cement his place in the Indian team.
Indian team in the very first place, are required to shift their gears from the domestic IPL tournament into the International scenario. They will need to stabilize themselves in the alien conditions of England. They have to change their focus from becoming the Kings of IPL to the Champions of the Champions.
Not only the players, but also the 1.2 billion Indian fans, will now become one and support India rather than their particular franchisees. Kohli will once again become the best batsman, and Dhoni the Ideal Captain.
Up till now India has never won any of the tournament that has been played just after the IPL. It’s high time for them to claim their first ever Champions trophy cup and become the Champions of Champions. Young India will also look to prove their worth. And Dhoni will look to repeat what he did in 2007 in the T-20 world cup.
The players are sure to suffer from physical and mental strains because of the tiresome season of IPL and all the fixing scandals that have taken place back home. This will add an additional responsibility on the Indian team management and Dhoni, to release the players from such situation and help them tackle the alien condition .In these circumstances Dhoni proves to be a worthy captain, as he s the ideal player to tackle these situations.
Lets have our fingers crossed and hope for the best. The present Indian team is more than capable of winning the trophy, as we have got he right mix in all departments, the only thing left is to perform upon their own merit.
JAI HIND.!!!
