Rahul Banerjee waltzes into round of 32

Rahul Banerjee, brother of female archer Dola Banerjee, won the Men’s archery round of 64 event in straight set against 40 year old Mongolian, Jantsan Gantugs.

From the moment Banerjee drew the arrow from his quiver, he looked confident and composed as he took his first shot.

Banerjee hit three perfect 10s in the third set and the Mongolian could only just stand and watch his arrows hit the bulls eye.

Jantsan could manage only a perfect 10 to Banerjee’s six 10s.

Banerjee will face the winner from the match between Daniel Rezende Xavier and Rafal Dobrowolski.
