1983: Birthday of Yaya Toure, an Ivorian footballer who plays primarily as a midfielder for the Côte d’Ivoire national team and also at Premier League club Manchester City.

1991: Birthday of Gabriel Silva, a Brazilian footballer. He is primarily a left back but can also play on the right. He currently plays for Granada CF.

2012: Juventus completed the Serie A season as undefeated champions with a 3-1 win over Atalanta.

2012: Manchester City won their first Premier League title with the last kick of the season, as Sergio Aguero struck an extraordinary added-time winner at the Emirates Stadium.
