Andre Adams turns 38 today.

Cricket:

1888: A record 27 wickets fell in a little over four hours on the second day of the Lord’s Test between England and Australia.

1893:  Arthur Shrewsbury is 1st to score 1,000 runs in Test Cricket.

1975: Birth of New Zealand bowler, Andre Adams.

Football:

1975: UEFA adopted the use of penalty shootouts instead of replays to decide the finals of the European Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup, and European Championship.

Golf:

2005:  Tiger Woods wins his 10th major winning The British Open Championship by 5 strokes. Woods becomes only the second golfer, after Jack Nicklaus, to win each major more than once.
