WSF World Junior Squash Championships 2024: Shaurya Bawa storms into semi-finals; Anahat Singh bows out of quarter-finals

Indian squash players had another mixed day at the ongoing WSF World Junior Squash Championships 2024 on Monday, July 15. While a few of them staged walkovers and bagged wins, others suffered defeats.

Moving into the details of the day, Anahat Singh suffered a defeat to Egypt’s Nadien Elhammamy by 2-3 in a closely fought encounter. Though Anahat started on a promising note, she couldn’t finish the match as she would have liked. She staged a walkover from her 5th/8th place encounter.

On the other hand, Shaurya Bawa defeated Malaysia's Low Wa Sern in the quarter-finals to set up a semi-final clash against Egypt's Mohamed Zakaria. The encounter will take place on Tuesday, July 16. The grand finale is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 17.

With two days left in the World Junior Squash Championships 2024, fans can expect Shaurya Bawa to give his best and come out on top in the semi-finals and the final.

Additionally, a few Indian players will compete on the penultimate day of the campaign to finalize their competition ranking.
