Vikram Malhotra loses in Samson Seattle Squash Open final

Malhotra was beaten by the third-seeded Andrew Schnell

Canada's Andrew Schnell ended the dream run of unseeded Vikram Malhotra in the final of the Samson Seattle Squash Open, a PSA Tour event in Seattle late on Sunday.

The third-seeded Canadian won the match 11-7, 9-11, 11-7, 11-4, the whole tussle lasting 45 minutes. This is Andrew's second title in two weeks time.

For the US-based Indian, ranked 125 in the World and returning to a hectic league after a gap, it was another good show after the Florida success in December last year. Beating higher seeded players including the second seed Nathan Lake (England) en route to this tournament, Vikram looked in good nick to do more but against a player in form, which Andrew was, the fight did not last long.
