Czech Republic's lone male archer at the Paris Olympics 2024, Adam Li had a decent tournament in the recently concluded Olympic Qualifier Competition in Antalya, Turkiye.
He defeated Aly Alzaid by 6-0, Romans Sergejevs by 6-0, Anri Basiladze by 6-0, and Mahammadali Aliyev by 6-2 before suffering a defeat to Sagor Islam by 5-6 to make the cut for the Paris Olympics 2024.
In the World Cup 2024, stage 1, he ended at the 33rd rank in the individual round while he settled for the 99th rank in the third stage. With a career-best total score of 660, Adam Li looks less potent to spoil the Indian archer’s party.
While Adam Li posted a total of 627 to end at the 61st rank out of 64 archers at the Ranking Round in the Paris Olympics, Dhiraj Bommadevara had a total of 681 to end at the fourth rank. South Korea's Kim Woojin topped the ranking round with a total of 686.
Though this contest looks like a lop-sided affair with Dhiraj Bommadevara being a strong favorite, we can expect Adam Li to put up a strong fight.
