Fans were left utterly disappointed as the Indian skeet mixed team, featuring Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Maheshwari Chauhan, fell short in their bronze medal bid at the Paris 2024 Olympics, losing to China by a single point, 44-43, on Monday. The Indian duo hit 43 out of 48 targets, while China secured the third spot with 44 successful shots.
The fans took to X to voice their disappointment as the Indian skeet mixed team missed yet another bronze medal narrowly. This comes just two days after India's shooting sensation Manu Bhaker failed to clinch the bronze in the 25m pistol final.

The bronze medal match was a nail-biter from start to finish. China's Lyu Jianlin delivered a flawless performance, hitting all 24 of his targets, while his teammate, Jiang Yiting, overcame a shaky start, missing three targets in the second round but regaining composure to miss only one more shot thereafter.
For the Indian skeet mixed team, Anantjeet Singh Naruka missed two targets, and Maheshwari Chauhan faltered on three, resulting in a heart-wrenching near-miss for the Indian team.
The Indian skeet mixed team had shown promise in the qualification rounds, with both Naruka and Chauhan scoring 74 out of 75 in their respective attempts, keeping hopes high for a podium finish. However, despite their strong showing, the final round proved just out of reach.
