Arshad Nadeem best throw: What is the Olympic gold medalist's personal best?
Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem brought the Stade de France Arena in Paris alive with his sensational throw at the Paris 2024 Olympics. During the men's javelin throw finals on August 8, Nadeem marked a huge distance of 92.97m, his new personal best.
The throw left everyone in the stadium and those watching around the globe awestruck. Apart from recording his new personal best, Arshad had also broken the Olympic world record with the same throw.
The said throw, which won him the coveted gold, came in his second attempt. However, Arshad did not stop there as he recorded another brilliant throw in his last attempt, marking 91.79m. Interestingly, even his second-best throw in Paris had exceeded his previous personal best.
Before his throw at the Summer Games, Arshad's best stood at 90.28m. He had marked the throw at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. It was also his first throw that had broken the 90m barrier. The star athlete had won the gold medal in that edition of the CWG.

With his emphatic gold medal triumph at the Paris Olympics 2024, Arshad Nadeem's popularity has shot up. The talented athlete has received plaudits from sporting fans all over the world.
Though the javelin thrower was not underestimated leading into the Olympic Games, his performance might have surprised many. Neeraj Chopra of India was expected to be a strong contender to finish with the first position in Paris.
However, Nadeem left everyone surprised by beating Chopra, who clinched the silver with an 89.45m throw. Such was the magnitude of Arshad's 92.97m throw that he surpassed the Indian's throw by over three meters.
Arshad Nadeem has since returned back to his country to a grand welcome. He will be honored with the Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Pakistan's second-highest civilian award, by President Asif Ali Zardari.
