Swedish paddler Christina Kallberg will compete with Indian table tennis sensation Sreeja Akula in the Round of 64 encounter at the Paris Olympics 2024 at Paris Arena 4 on Sunday, July 28.

The World No. 58 paddler Christina defeated Akula once in WTT Contender Rio in 2023 when these two faced each other in a group stage encounter. She would be taking that match as an inspiration for entering this contest.

Christina faced a first-round exit at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and would be aiming to turn the tables in her second Olympic appearance in Paris. On the other hand, the top-ranked Indian female paddler Sreeja Akula bagged three WTT titles in the 2024 season and has been in red-hot form.
