Deepika Kumari World Ranking: Where is the Indian archer ranked in the women's world rankings?
Deepika Kumari - India's veteran archer, is leading the way in the Paris 2024 Olympics for India. As of now, Deepika Kumari stands at the 12th rank in the World Rankings.
Paris 2024 Olympics has begun with the archery ranking rounds. All eyes are on Indian archers who hope to reach the podium.
In the individual ranking round of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Deepika finished 23rd with a score of 658. Meanwhile, Ankita Bhakat topped the charts for Indian women with her season-best score of 666 to finish 11th. Bhajan Kaur ended just ahead of Deepika at the 22nd spot with a score of 659.
This has helped the Indian women's archers to finish fourth collectively in the women's team event and thus have made their way into the quarter-finals directly.

Hopes are high with Deepika when it comes to archery in the Olympics. She is the most experienced archer from the Indian sub-continent who has won numerous medals for the country in different competitions. Her recent biggest achievements were in the year 2021, when she won gold medals in the Paris Archery World Cup.
Out of her three gold medals, one came in the individual round, and the other two were with the team. In 2012, Deepika reached the world number 1 rank in archery for the first time. She achieved the same in 2021 for the second time after her fabulous performance in the Paris Archery World Cup.
The ranking round has begun at the Olympics, where it will determine seedings for the 128 archers in the competition. Every archer will shoot 72 arrows over the two halves, and by the end of the second round, the total points will be calculated. Teams from the top 4 seeded positions will become part of the quarter-finals directly.
