Full list of Viacom18 expert panel for Paris Olympics 2024 ft. Sania Mirza and Sakshi Malik
Viacom18, the official broadcast and digital partner for the Paris Olympics 2024, has announced its list of experts who will be analyzing the performances of the athletes competing at the mega event.
Viacom18 has already confirmed that it will broadcast the Olympics presentation in India with 20 concurrent feeds across the Sports18 Network for free and live stream on JioCinema, starting July 26.
Former Olympians and legendary athletes from various sporting disciplines are all set to don the hats of experts for the Paris Olympics 2024 on Sports18 Network and Jio Cinema.
A total of seven experts are part of the core group, namely four-time Olympian Sania Mirza, former Indian men’s hockey team captain Viren Rasquinha, Asian Games gold medallist Somdev Devvarman, former paddler Neha Aggarwal, former swimmer Nisha Millet, CWG medallist Murali Sreeshankar, and squash player Saurav Ghosal.
Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik and Beijing 2008 bronze medallist boxer Vijender Singh will lend their expertise in their respective sporting disciplines. Commonwealth Games gold medallist shuttler Parupalli Kashyap is part of the badminton roster.
India's two-time Olympic archer Atanu Das and Rahul Banerjee are part of the archery roster. Heena Sidhu and Joydeep Karmakar will be part of the coverage of the shooting competition. Swimmer Virdhawal Khade and hockey star Jugraj Singh will give their expertise in swimming and hockey.
"Our presentation of Paris 2024 is built on the idea of putting viewers front and centre as our athletes aim for glory. For the first time in India, an Olympics presentation will have a dedicated Indian feed, a women athletes feed, and a global action feed, giving fans high autonomy with a lean-in experience as they follow the Games,” Viacom18 Sports Head of Content Siddharth Sharma said (via Free Press Journal).
"We strive to capture the inspiring journeys of Indian athletes and rally the country to back our heroes through our never-seen-before Olympic experience,” he added.
