Golfer Diksha Dagar unharmed after being involved in car accident, will take part in Paris 2024 Olympics
Indian golfer Diksha Dagar survived a major scare on July 30 when she was involved in a car accident just ahead of her participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics. She came out of the incident without any severe injuries and will participated in the women’s golfing event on August 7 as planned.
The accident involved four members of the Dagar family, including Diksha, her father, Col Naren Dagar, her mother, and her brother. They were returning from an event at the India House in Paris on Tuesday night when the car was struck by another vehicle.
Diksha Dagar is a part of the two-person female golfing contingent alongside Aditi Ashok.

In spite of the shocking news of the accident, Indian fans can breathe easy knowing that Diksha Dagar came out unharmed from the incident and has been attending practice as usual since then, said her father, Naren Dagar, as per PTI.
Naren Dagar, who is also Diksha’s caddie, confirmed the unfortunate news that her mother had to be hospitalized with a suspected spinal injury. She will undergo further tests and observation in the upcoming days before the severity of her injury can be diagnosed.
According to sources cited by PTI, Diksha’s car was struck on Tuesday night after the driver’s view of the offending car was obstructed by an ambulance.
However, Diksha would try and compartmentalise the news as she is scheduled to kick off her Paris 2024 Olympics campaign on August 7. She previously competed in the Tokyo 2020 Games, where she finished tied for 50th place.
As Diksha begins her Paris 2024 journey, she will aim to make her family and country proud with an improved performance at this year’s summer Olympic Games.
