Vinesh Phogat rounds off incredible Paris 2024 Olympics stint with entry in the finals
Vinesh’s performances in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics women’s 50kg freestyle event have been anything but predictable, with even her most ardent supports not giving her much of a chance of progressing through to the finals.
However, the Indian wrestler has shocked all onlookers by taking down heavyweights such as the world No. 1 and Tokyo 2020 gold medalist Yui Susaki, former European champion Oksana Livach, and current Pan American Championships gold medalist Yusneylys Guzman en route to a gold medal clash in the French capital.
Now, Vinesh will look to complete her redemption arc and enter her name into Olympic folklore as she faces USA's Sarah Hildebrandt in the women's 50kg freestyle event finals on August 7.
