Furthermore, all players part of the Paris Olympics 2024 got good enough game time across three major tournaments against top-class players of the sport. Having prepared well, Sharath is not going to leave anything to chance.

"We played three back-to-back tournaments in Tunisia, Nigeria and Bangkok. We had very good match practice and played doubles as well. We could figure out what was working and what was not. All of us in the team have a good under-standing and have been together for close to six years. I have also prepared very well and the results should follow. I am not leaving anything to chance," said Sharath.

Though he faced a few challenges at the Asian Games in 2023, Sharath played a crucial role in propelling the Indian men’s team to a bronze medal win in the Asian Games in 2018 in Jakarta.

In the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, he secured a gold medal in the singles and guided the men's team to a title win alongside winning the gold medal in men's doubles, scripting history with his heroics.
